For Adoption

If you are interested in a quiet, loving companion and don't wish to face the trials of the kitten crazies, training, vaccinations, alteration, or cannot afford the full price of a pedigreed kitten, then adopting an adult retired show/breeding cat or older pet may be a better choice for you.

First and foremost, please understand that I approach any placement as an adoption. Potential adoptees are first screened to ensure they will provide a safe, permanent and loving home, before I will consider them. And all purchasers or adoptees are required to sign a legal and binding sales contract, agreeing to abide by certain conditions, with regard to the care and welfare of the cat once they receive it.

My retirees are placed as spayed/neutered pets for the cost of alteration, plus shipping (if necessary). All adult retiree placements are spayed and neutered prior to going to a new home. All shipping expenses, including rabies vaccination and carrier, would be the responsibility of the purchaser.

I guarantee with all adult placements, if the cat is unhappy or the placement doesn't work out, that the cat can always be returned to me.

Like I stated on my "For Sale" page, Lyonhart Cattery is no longer actively breeding cats. Due to personal circumstances beyond my control, I am in the process of placing as many cats as I can, with the intention of keeping perhaps 6-8 of my most beloved cats as my pets when all is said and done. The following young adult cats or retired breeding/show cats are available for adoption to forever homes or in some cases, for show in Premiership.

Hotrod is a big hefty boy with loads of personality. Sweet and affectionate, with a touch of goofiness. He would do well shown in premiership.

Lyonhart's Charisma (aka Chrisy)
Dilute Calico Female Spay
Date of Birth: Oct 17, 2003

Chrissy is a beautiful dilute calico girl with lovely distinct patching and pale color. She is a quiet girl and gets along well with other cats. She loves to play with teaser toys and having her chin scratched.

Lyonhart's Out of the Blue (aka Bluzie)
Blue & White Male Neuter
Date of Birth: 21 July 2005

Bluzer is a outgoing and affectionate guy that loves attention. He isn't fond of being picked up and carried, but he will happily curl up or stretch out in your lap while your watching TV. He too has been clipped down for easy maintenance thru the summer, but his coat is coming back in quite nicely.

Lyonhart's Honeysuckle Rose (aka Rosie)
Calico Female Spay
Date of Birth: 21 July 2005

Rosie is a mischievous bundle of affection. She has a very striking split blaze down the centre of her face, that used to be written in the calico persian standard as "desirable", but was very difficult to breed for. She will make some lucky person a wonderful pet.

Date of Birth: 15 July 2005

Blissie is a lavishly affectionate sweetheart, that will make someone a wonderful pet. She has been diagnosed as mildly asthmatic however. She was on medication (non-steroidal) for the asthma for several months, but has been weaned off it now and you would not know she is affected. She has been clipped down for the summer, but her coat is growing back in nicely.

Lyonhart's Amazing Grace (aka Mazie>
Red & White Female Spay
Date of Birth: 08 June 2004

Mazie is a sweet and very affectionate little girl, with strikingly beautiful dark orange eye color. Her nose is a slight bit crooked, but we don't hold that cosmetic flaw against her. She too will make someone a lovely lap companion.
